About The Author
Kara is a photographer and aspiring writer based in Missouri. She enjoys the outdoors, good books, and good coffee and lives with her partner and four spoiled cats.
These photos were taken in the Yucatán peninsula of Mexico while exploring Mayan ruin sites. These sites were once covered by the jungle and nature is already working to take them back. A reminder that human creations, however grand, are often impermanent.
